Mentor Release Notes v2.13

CDS Mentor is now available to customers as an installable software in their own AWS GovCloud (US) environment! This makes it easy to deploy CDS Mentor into your compliant, secure environment.

The CDS Mentor SaaS offering has been upgraded with:

Latest identity module (IDM 4.0)

• We have upgraded the existing system to IDM 4.0 from IDM 1.6.

Here’s what it means:  

• IDM 4.0 is significantly faster, providing a more efficient and responsive user experience. 

Support for GLB file format

• GLB format, a widely-used 3D file format, is now supported by Mentor.

Here’s what it means:  

• GLB files can now be imported into Mentor. 

Known Issue

• GLTF file format when imported are not loading up in Studio
• Slight Textures and material mismatch from the original import file to Studio

Coming Soon

• Ability to create folders and organize instructions using folder management.
• The ability to add an image (as thumbnail) to the non-3D work instructions to replace the default cube image
