Release Notes – 2/29/2024
Introduction
These are the latest release notes for CDS Visual Mentor.
Overview
This is version 2.10. This has new capabilities and bug fixes as noted below.
What's New
· Procedure Sign Off
We are thrilled to introduce an enhancement in this release that while creating the procedure authors can choose to designate the reviewer to sign off the operator records, ensuring thorough review and validation.
The sign-off procedure typically helps a “Trainer” or “Content Author” to assign a person (let's call it a Sign-Off Manager) who can evaluate the responses to the questions provided by the trainees of a procedure. It means that the Signoff manager authorizes the underlying training done by a trainee by approving or rejecting it and hence the "signing off" of the training.
The Procedure Sign-Off report (PDF) contains the signoff date and status and an option to download the pdf for easy offline records which can be required to authenticate training of operators for audit(s).
A “Trainer” or a “Content Author” can also assign themselves as a Sign-off manager. The “Trainer” or “Content Author” can assign a Sign-Off Manager at the time of procedure creation. They have the option to assign themselves or any other two users or trainers as sign-off managers here.

Note: Each sign-up also comes with a timestamp and once all required trainees or users have been signed off, they are automatically notified over email.
· Training History Report
We are excited to announce the new feature which provides instant visibility into which operators are trained to which instruction/procedure. This displays the signoff date and status and an option to download the PDF for easy offline records which may be required for audits.
· CDS AI Document Processor Service
We're thrilled to announce the launch of the CDS AI Document Processor Service that revolutionizes document processing within the Mentor. This innovative AI service eliminates manual document processing by seamlessly converting Doc and PDF files into Mentor instructions with unprecedented speed and accuracy. The service uses deep learning models to process the step title, and description with images and creates them in Mentor without any manual effort.
