Introduction

These are the latest release notes for CDS Visual Mentor.

Overview

This is version 2.2. This has new capabilities and bug fixes as noted below.

What's New

· Re-order step sequence in Studio

We are excited to announce the release of our newest feature – re-order steps. In Studio users can now drag created steps vertically to re-order them or also to add new steps in between. Users can add new a step in between existing ones by adding at the end and dragging it to where it's required.

· Duplicate Procedure

Creating two work instructions for left-hand and right-hand workers may be necessary for certain situations where the tasks being performed require specific movements or actions that are significantly different between the two hands.

In Mentor, now you can duplicate the existing procedure required for changing hand sequence with just one click and make the appropriate changes in Studio for the required steps to support other hand-related changes.

This can help ensure that workers are performing their tasks safely, efficiently, and accurately, while also helping to minimize errors and reduce the risk of workplace injuries.

· Procedure Duplicate for Language addition

This feature now allows the user to duplicate procedures for adding different languages. Once you duplicate the procedure for language, you can select the preferred language from the dropdown for enabling filtering procedures based on languages. After duplicating users can replace the step description, title, etc. content in the preferred language.

· Guided walkthrough in the app

Now the users can see the walkthrough demo on how to create work instructions within the application. Additional walkthrough demos will be added soon.

Bug Fixes

Resolved the issue of being unable to save existing animations sometimes
Animation difference in preview and studio is fixed

Known Issue

Textures and material mismatch from the original import file to Studio rendered
Unable to apply texture and bump map in the studio sometimes
In Studio, uploading PDF files under multimedia with size larger than 5MB are not allowed to save procedure studio
Thumbnail images are not getting displayed on the work instruction page
Mobile view: step with multiple images will not be able to navigate from the first image to rest

Enhancements

View the created viewpoint for the step from the animation pane
Users can copy and paste the table from Excel or another application in the step description
