Fading effect in the viewer app
- This new feature adds a subtle and professional touch to your 3D animations, making them even more engaging and visually appealing to trainees.
- With this feature, users will now be able to see a fading effect applied to their 3D animations in CDS Studio, which will provide a smooth transition between different elements in the animation.
-
Sort Work Instructions
- With the new feature, "Sort", now you can sort the work instructions on the Mentor app either by alphabetical order or by creation date.
- This enables the flexibility to arrange work instructions in a way that suits users’ needs and preferences. This will help users to better manage work instructions and increase overall productivity.
- To use this feature, simply click on the "Sort" button located in the top right corner of the work instructions page. From there, you can select either "Alphabetical Order" or "Creation Date" to sort your instructions accordingly.
-
Filter Work Instructions
- With the new feature, "Filter", now you can filter the work instructions on the Mentor app based on specific criteria.
- With this feature, users will now be able to easily find the work instructions they need by filtering based on specific parameters such as procedure status, or any other relevant information. This will save users time and effort when searching for specific instructions, and help them to focus on the tasks that matter most.
- To use this feature, simply click on the "Filter" button located in the top right corner of the work instructions page. From there, you can select the criteria you wish to filter by.
Bug Fixes
- Images on frames are now displayed upon reopening the animations.
- When an assigned procedure is deleted by the trainer, the trainee sees the blank screen in the work instructions list is now fixed.
- Hidden components that were visible upon clicking their original positions in Studio canvas while creating animation are now fixed.
Known Issue
- With hide feature functionality being used, the parts animated first appear at their home location for an instant and then start from the actual animation start position.
- Instead, the fading functionality can be used to achieve the same to avoid this issue.
- When the Rotational Axis is used to rotate the 3D Model manually, the viewpoint is not retained as configured.
- Trainees need to adjust the viewpoint manually by using drag in the viewer app.
- When the Texture and Bump parameters are used while applying material from Standard Material Library in CDS Studio, they are not visible in Studio while playing animation. They are directly visible in viewer apps, with the Texture and Bump applied.
- A trainer can create a custom material with the required color properties, texture, and bump images to see them in the studio.
- The zoom setting as configured in the Studio is not rendered in the viewer.
- The placement of CAD at the start of animation is not the same as that created in the studio.
Enhancements
-
To avoid accidental viewpoint creation, now the viewpoint is only created when the user wants it with the button click-based create and save viewpoint.
- The work instruction page now shows the CAD thumbnail image.
- The auto scroll is enabled on the work instruction list page to improve the faster loading.
- To improve the performance, Trainers cannot open multiple tabs of the Mentor app in the same browser instance.
