Step 1 - Log in to the Mentor web app and navigate to the work instruction, Procedure you want to Publish.
Step 2 - Click on the "Publish" button, which will open a pop-up window for version management.
A popup will appear with version management options. In the pop-up window, you can add any relevant comments or notes about the new version you are publishing.
Step 3 - Use the "Major/Minor version" toggle to select the appropriate version number for your new procedure.
If you select "Major Version" the procedure will start with version 1.0. If you select "Minor Version," the procedure will start with version 0.1.
Note - In case of Publish another version of the existing procedure, the pop-up window will display the current (old) version of the procedure and the new version you are about to publish.
Step 4 - Click on the "Proceed to Approval" button to trigger the approval workflow. The procedure will now be submitted for approval.
Note - This will initiate the Approval Workflow, which will give the trainer the option to self-approve or assign the approval task to another trainer in the organization.

Self-Approval:
If the trainer chooses to self-approve the procedure, they can do so by selecting the Self-Approval option. Once approved, the procedure will be available for assignment to trainees.
Assign Approval Task:
If the trainer chooses to assign the approval task to another trainer, they can do so by selecting the “Send for Approval” option. This will open a list of trainers in the organization who can approve the procedure.
Approval Request: Once the approval task is assigned, an email will be sent to the assigned trainer notifying them of the approval request. The approver trainer can also see the procedure in their web app under the Approval Requests section.
Review and Approval: The assigned trainer can review the procedure and either approve or reject it. If they choose to reject it, they can enter a reason for rejection and send it back to the original trainer for revisions.
Procedure Publication: If the assigned trainer approves the procedure, it will be published live and will be available for assignment to trainees.
By following this approval process, trainers can ensure that all procedures are reviewed and approved before being made available to trainees.
