CDS Mentor is a 3D work instruction platform that supports a variety of CAD file formats. The current supported CAD file formats are STEP, STP, and PVZ.
- STEP (.step, .stp) - This is a standard file format for exchanging 3D data between different CAD systems. It is widely used in the manufacturing industry.
- PVZ (.pvz) - This is a compressed file format that is used by Creo View, a CAD viewing and collaboration tool. PVZ files can contain 3D models, annotations, and other CAD data.
This tutorial will explain how to check which CAD file formats are supported in CDS Mentor.
